I have a new short story out today in Unhallowed Gifts, a new Dead Ink anthology edited by Dan Coxon (and a sequel of sorts to last year’s brilliant Unquiet Guests).

Dan’s brief was to write a story in the ‘cursed objects’ tradition, which stretches right back to W.W. Jacobs’ ‘The Monkey’s Paw’. My contribution is a queasy story about a boy and his distracted dad, and birds that keep making offerings…
This a beautifully produced hardback with suitably gothic spredges, and a contributor list to die for. Grab a copy here in time for Halloween, and catch me, Dan, V. Castro and Tiffani Angus discussing all things horror at Waterstones Cambridge later this month.
